Good afternoon,
As we talked about last week, Reporting On Addiction continues to uplift the value of transparency in public health. Here’s their YouTube channel if you’d like to catch past episodes, including a powerful conversation with MuckRock’s Dillon Bergin on accessing public records.
This week, we spotlight how local governments are responding to settlement pressures—with some investing in harm reduction and treatment infrastructure, and others facing questions about the alignment of spending with public health goals. From community town halls in North Carolina to drone-enabled opioid enforcement in West Virginia, these stories offer critical insight into how settlement funds are reshaping strategies on the ground.
